Ready for the off....

Steve gets ready to set off from Brighton on a 3,800 mile ride around the coast of the UK in aid of the Metropolitan Police Orphans charity.

Charity Scooter Ride - around the UK

Here is another example of the diverse ways that members of the Lodge can do their bit to raise money for charity.

In June 2012 Priory Gate member Bro. Stephen Bone undertook a motor scooter adventure to raise money for his chosen charity, the Metropolitan Police Orphans.

He decided that he would ride around the coast roads of the UK using A and B roads on his Vespa scooter.

Leaving from Brighton, he travelled in a clockwise direction around the country, taking him 12 days and riding a total 3800 miles!

He managed to raise with the help of the Lodge,  friends and relatives a stunnig £1300 for his charity the Metropolitan Police Orphans.

En route he slept in various types of accommodation and stayed with other brethren from Priory Gate and other Lodges.

Followers were able to track his progress on-line and watch the route he had taken and the mileage he had completed each day.

His exploits were covered in various magazines and articles and it can be read about in length in February 2013 publication of Scootering magazine which is a world wide publication.
